Egg-citement builds as Longridge prepares for fith year of Easter #ShopLocal Competition
The much-loved Pendle Hill Properties Easter #ShopLocal competition is set to return to Longridge for the fifth consecutive year, bringing colour, creativity and community spirit to the town once again.
Organised by Pendle Hill Properties in collaboration with Longridge Town Council and Love Longridge, the annual initiative encourages families to support independent businesses while giving children a fun and engaging activity to enjoy during the Easter holidays.

This year, more than 2,000 primary school children from local schools will be invited to take part in the competition. Entry cards featuring a large Easter egg outline will be delivered directly to schools, challenging children to colour in and decorate their design in the most creative way possible.

Once completed, children and their families can post their entries into special competition post boxes located inside participating shops across Longridge town centre, giving families the perfect opportunity to explore the town and support local retailers.

Pendle Hill Properties’ most recent #ShopLocal initiative took place in October, with their Halloween trail generating over 1,300 shop visits.

Sponsored by Pendle Hill Properties, each participating shop will have 20 Easter eggs available to give away on a first come, first served basis. In addition, there will be a spectacular grand prize for one overall winner, a giant chocolate egg and a giant Easter bunny.

The competition will officially launch on Friday 27th March and will close at 12pm on Saturday 4th April.

Thomas Turner, Sales Director at Pendle Hill Properties, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be bringing back our Easter #ShopLocal competition for the fifth year. It’s one of the most exciting initiatives that we run each year. The children absolutely love getting involved, and it’s fantastic to see families visiting local shops and exploring everything Longridge has to offer.

“What’s especially great is that it’s not just people from Longridge who take part, we see families coming from neighbouring towns and villages to join in the fun and enjoy the activity. It really helps showcase what a brilliant, welcoming town we have.”
